Knaresborough Bookshop
Established in 1969, the Knaresborough Bookshop is situated in the picturesque town of Knaresborough at the gateway to the Yorkshire Dales, close to York, Ripon and Harrogate, as well as the North York Moors and the Yorkshire coast.
We have a wide selection of local interest and local history books, books on walking in the Dales and on the Moors, books on railways and other transport and on local sport. We are accredited stockists of Ordnance Survey and other maps covering the region.
In addition we believe our stock of approximately 5000 books provides a stimulating range of new and established titles often not found in the usual, often dull, chains and rarely in boring big food shops.
I myself can draw on over 30 years experience in the book business, both as a bookseller and as a publisher - experience which helps provide a first class, professional service for our customers.
We routinely order books in for our customers and get the majority within 24 hours from a database now exceeding 1 million titles.
We also obtain out of print tiles from anywhere in the world at no extra charge and are happy to do free title/subject/author searches.
We offer a free local delivery service for customers who may have difficulty getting into town and can post books to anywhere in the world.
As well as books we sell high quality, tasteful greetings cards (which are all locally unique to the shop), calendars and Book Tokens. We have a thriving ordering service for music and spoken word CDs, and DVDs. We sell second hand books specialising in local interest and railways.
The shop itself is situated in the High Street just off the historic square close to the famous castlegate, the river Nidd and the viaduct. There is ample parking nearby.

Opening times: Monday-Saturday 9.00am-5.00pm.
